Using a simple design, i want to demonstrate an innovative approach to how a candle holder can be designed using additive manufacturing. The geometry of "candle-holder-3" could not be manufactured using traditional methods.
The lemniscate is a simple curve consisting of two loops that meet at a central point. It is commonly referred to as the symbol of Infinity. This lattice representation of the lemniscate, or Infinity Loop, was modeled in 3dsmax from a simple Octahedron. This model would make an excellent desktop showpiece. Great affordable addition to any mathematical art collection.
A symbol of early Jewish mysticism, and basis for Metatron's Cube, this stellated octahedron shape known as Merkaba, has been part of spirituality and religious iconography for ages. Researcher and physicist, Drunvalo Melchizedek, described it as a Star Tetrahedron since it can be viewed as a three-dimensional Star Of David. It's been known to geometers and mathematicians dating back to the 1500's. A perfect addition to your 3D printed mathematical art collection and desktop showpieces. *A maker tutorial video is also available for modeling in 3dsmax or Blender.
One of the quintessential pieces to any 3d printed Math Art collection. Reasonably priced, with double wall construction, and available in wide range of materials. This Mobius ladder was built "by hand" using standard polygonal modeling tools in 3dsmax. Experienced makers only; some additional structural supports may be necessary before printing in certain materials. A tutorial video is also available for modelers and makers.
